Invention. While comprised of only nine letters, it’s one of the biggest words in the English language. Afterall, every single man-made object you can see or touch was a brand new idea at some point in time. Everything. The reason the word is so “big” is not only the vast amount of things it describes but the way each of those things have accumulated to shape our experience of the world as we know it. This includes the simplest of primitive tools such as a sharpened stick all the way out to advanced satellites that make modern living so … modern.

What would our experience today be without all the cumulative effects of each advancement? Whether each idea or invention is a tiny step or a giant leap, they all contribute in a meaningful way. Each and every invention was born from a human need or want. We need shelter. We want convenience, speed, utility etc. So the simple spark of an idea can come from personally encountering a problem and searching for a simple way to solve it, or a much more grand desire for the betterment of the entire human race.

Many times, the people responsible for such advancements are given labels like entrepreneur, trailblazer, or pioneer. To a regular Joe Schmo with an idea, those labels can seem a bit intimidating. The truth is that a simple concept can grow into something marvelous, in the right hands. All it takes is some determination and maybe a little help.

That’s where Catalyst comes in. We see the results every day working with large companies to launch complex, industry-disrupting products. But we apply the same process and expertise to guide average, everyday people toward realizing their dream.
