Committed to safety, Valvoline was determined to develop a product that went beyond just the standard Bump Cap. A custom faceguard that could be used in conjunction with the current bump cap provided the essential head and face safety desired while not obstructing the work environment for the technicians. All aspects of the development process were required in the evolution of the faceguard. Technician involvement during the process was as critical as determining the proper resin to be utilized for impact and chemical resistance. From style and ergonomics to functionality, all were considered. Besides, who wants to wear a mask that doesn’t look cool?
